Description
Alone but not lonely is how the majority of Fire Lookouts feel about their job. They do like an evening flyby though, from the Helitack crews heading back to base after a day of firefighting in Northern Alberta.
This painting captures that moment as the sun sets while active storms are still building and lightning lances the forest. Soon it will be time to descend the 100 foot ladder and get a nights rest. It looks like tomorrow might be busy too.
